Wouldn’t you like to time travel back to your favorite historical period and buy the fabrics and fashion of the time? It’s one of my costuming fantasies. I pore over books, magazines and paintings and dream.

While time travel isn’t possible, I do have good luck buying historical clothing for the 1920's at my local department store, shops, thrift shops, and online from contemporary stock in the stores. Join me for the next class in our 1920's workshop series, where you will learn what to look for, how to modify it, and how to accessorize the look to make it “read” 1920's.

I call my contemporary finds “-ish,” as in Twenties-ish, Edwardian-ish and so forth. This will not pass the tests of the historically accurate mavens, but you will appear to be walking out of the 1920's and into a party, picnic, or dance. I am the Queen of Ish and will share my secrets on July 11 at 11 a.m. You can join me on this odyssey by using the registration link below.
